Dunai Kirajzáson a budapesti menetrendszerinti, rendezvény- és programhajós cégek hajói tartottak évadnyitó felvonulást. Továbbra is keresik a szerdai dunai hajóbaleset eltűnt áldozatait. A dél-koreai mentőcsapatok és a magyar hatóságok 50 kilométeren fésülték át a Duna felszínét folyásirányban, illetve vízalatti drónokat akartak leküldeni a roncshoz, de nem jártak sikerrel. Az viszont kiderült, hogy a Hableány 8-9 méter mélyen van, nem pedig 6 méter mélyen, mint azt korábban feltételezték - írja a Yonhap dél-koreai hírügynökség.

A szerdai hajóbalesetben eltűnt dél-koreai turisták után kutatott június 2-án a Magyar Honvédség helikoptere is.
A honvédség Mi-17-es helikoptere a Duna déli határ kilépő pontjától a Margit-hídig terjedő szakaszát vizsgálta át vasárnap, a reggeli órákban. Ezt követően a Budaörsi Repülőtéren csatlakozhattak a katonákhoz az eltűnt személyek azon hozzátartozói is, akik vállalták a repülést. A katonák a légi szemrevételezésre így összesen 18 személyt vittek magukkal.

Szerdán 21.05-kor ütközött a 60 fő befogadására alkalmas Hableánnyal az őt utolérő Viking Sigyn utasszállító.
A rendőrség szerint a baleset előtt a Hableány fordult be a 'Viking' szállodahajó elé.
A 'Hableány' motoros azonnal oldalra fordult, és hét másodperc alatt elsüllyedt.
33 dél-koreai és a kétfős magyar személyzet volt a hajón.
Hét ember élte túl a tragédiát, eddig hét holttestet találtak, a további 21 főt – köztük a magyar személyzet tagjait – keresik.
Az ügyben büntetőeljárás indult. A hajó roncsainak kiemelése még nem kezdődött meg.
Minden parlamenti és parlamenten kívüli párt részvétét nyilvánította ki a tragédia kapcsán.

The first Moskvich ships were built in 1948 in the Moscow factory of shipbuilding. Moskvich ships did not receive names, only numbers. They were identified by the letter M followed by the ship's number, for example M-270. Later though, some ships owned by private operators have received their own names. Moskvichs were built in Moscow until the 1960s.
Moskvich ships were used for short sightseeing trips, but also as a type of public transport, called “water tramway” (concept similar to water taxi). As of 2007, many Moskvichs are still in service. Most of them are used for sightseeing, some are used as sailing restaurants.

A Magyar Honvédség műszaki csapatai mindig is képesek voltak nagy méretű tárgyak folyóból (tóból) történő kiemelésére .Nem is olyan régen a rendkívül gyors folyású Neretva folyóból emeltek ki több a 10 t-át jóval meghaladó súlyú kőtömböket. Köszönve az akkori MMK kontingens főmérnöke dr Veres Róbert alez. alkotó módon kidolgozott technikai megoldásainak. Szerintem a mai kor műszaki tisztjei is megtalálnák a megoldást a 40t-s sétahajó kiemelésére . Csak bízni kell bennük. PS: Ez esetben is komplexen alkalmazni kellene a katonai képeségeket és a polgári technikát. Ez nem Kurszk APLK hanem egy kis hajó , nem is biztos, hogy teljesen ki kell emelni csak biztonságosan megemelni és a legközelebbi lejáróhoz vinni (úsztatni) például a Dráva utcához.

Este hét óra előtt egy nagy darushajó tűnt fel a Dunán a tragédia helyszínét megközelítve. A hajó aztán kikötött az egyik hajóállomásnál a közelben. Munkatársunk jelentése szerint egy búvár lemerült a víz alá, majd rövidesen feljött.
Délután négykor derült ki, hogy a Duna magas vízállása ellenére a búvárok kísérletet tesznek a merülésre. A búvárokat és a TEK munkatársait akkor egy narancssárga gumicsónakkal vitték be. A pontontól egy-két méterre kikötöttek, és feltehetően egy szonárral pásztázták a mélységet. A dunai hajószerencsétlenségről írva egyes hírekben megemlítik, hogy a kisebbik hajó bekanyarodott a nagyobbik elé, és emiatt következett be a katasztrófa.

Design:
A new river minesweeper design was requested in the 1970s to replace the 301-class minesweeper in the Yugoslav Navy. The Neštin-class was designed by the Naval Institute of the Yugoslav Navy. All minesweepers were built by Brodotehnika shipyard in Belgrade. They can load and lay 18 non-contact mines type AIM-M82 or 24 anchor R-1 mines, as well as 80 fully equipped troops. Equipment for countermeasures consist of mechanical mine-hunter MDL-2R, makeshift electromagnetic/acoustic mine hunter PEAM-1 and explosive mine hunter AEL. The Neštin-class is powered by two Torpedo B-539RM/2 engines 121 kW each.
Operators:
Fifteen ships were built for the Yugoslav Navy and export customers from 1976 to 1980. One ship was built for Yugoslav Navy in 1999.
The Hungarian Danube Flotilla received six Neštin-class minesweepers in 1981 from Yugoslavia. In Hungarian service, they were designated as MS-25. Today there are still three operated by HDF 1st Honvéd Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Warship Regiment.

A környező országok közül Magyarországon van az egyik legjelentősebb és legképzettebb hadihajós katonai alakulat, Ausztria nemrég szüntette meg folyami katonai jelenlétét, a hajóikat jelenleg hagyományőrző egyesületek gondozzák és karbantartásukat is azok végzik.
Bár sokan nem is gondolnák de nem is olyan régen még tengerészeti "nagyhatalomnak" számítottunk, jelentős gazdasági tevékenységet végeztek a magyar zászló alatt hajózó teherszállító hajók. Az első dunai tengerjáró hajót 1934 augusztusában avatták, Horthy Miklós kormányzó jelenlétében, aki maga is tengerésztiszt volt a század elején.
1. Története:
1848. július 25-én a Felelős Magyar Minisztérium határozata alapján az Országos Hadigőzös Mészáros vízre bocsátásával vette kezdetét az újkori magyar hadihajózás. Ezt követően napjainkig szervezett formában valósult meg a Duna hadihajós biztosítása.
Az 1867. évi kiegyezést követően létrehozták a Duna Flottillát. 1872-ben rendszerbe álltak a kor technikai színvonalának csúcsát képviselő MAROS és LEITHA monitorok. Az I. világháborút követően az egységet feloszlatták, hajóit lefoglalták, kiszolgáltatták, és szétosztották a Monarchia utódállamai között.
A magyar kormány 1921-ben felállította a Magyar Királyi Folyamőrséget, majd 1931-től Folyami Erők megnevezéssel önálló fegyvernemként létezett az alakulat, fő erejét az őrnaszád és folyamzár ezredek képezték. A II. világháború idején a szövetséges erők megkezdték tömeges a mágneses aknák telepítését. Erre válaszul 1943-ban rendszerbe állították az első aknászmotorosokat.
A háborút követően 1945. május 14-én felállításra került a Honvéd Hadihajós Osztályt. Az új szervezet fő feladata a Duna és Balaton aknamentesítése volt.
A feladatát kiválóan végrehajtó Hadihajós Osztályt 1950-ben ezreddé, 1951-ben dandárrá szervezték át, 1991-ig az Önálló Hadihajós Dandár nevet viselte. 1980-as évek eleji modernizálás során került rendszerbe 6 db AM jelű folyami aknamentesítő hajó.
Az alakulat megnevezése 1991-ben Honvéd Folyami Flottillára változott. A Flottillát 200l. június 30-ával az akkori haderő átalakítás során megszüntették. A megmaradt csökkentett létszámú hadihajós alosztályt- megtartva fő feladatait, hagyományait és a három megmaradt aknamentesítő hajót – egy egységbe vonták össze a tűzszerész zászlóaljjal, és 2001. július 1.-től megalakult a Magyar Honvédség Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Ezred.
A Magyar Honvédség újabb szervezeti változása során az ezred 2007. március 01-én átalakult zászlóaljjá, megnevezése MH 1. Honvéd Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Zászlóalj lett. 2003-ban, a KSI versenyzőjeként bronzérmes volt az ifjúsági világbajnokságon. A következő évben két Európa-bajnokságot nyert az ifik között. 2005-ben a világbajnokságon ötödik volt K4 200 méteren. 2006-ban háromszor állhatott a dobogóra az U23-as Eb-n. 2006-ban a Dunaferr SE-be igazolt. 2007-ben Európa-bajnok lett Kozák Danutával K2 1000 méteren. A vb-n ugyanez az egység bronzérmes volt. Ugyanitt 200 méter párosban Patyi Melindával kilencedik volt. Az U23-as Európa-bajnokságon Kozákkal 1000 méteren arany-, 500 méteren ezüstérmes volt. A következő évben Európa-bajnok lett K2 500 méteren (Kozák). Májusban távozott edzője, Fábiánné Rozsnyói Katalin csoportjából. Az olimpián a négyesben (Kovács Katalin, Janics Natasa, Kozák) második lett. Az olimpia után a Bp. Honvédhoz igazolt.

Armament - Cannons
The Hispano-Suiza had a gas operated delayed blowback action. The bolt was locked to the breech until the projectile passed a gas port in the barrel, which operated a piston that unlocked the bolt. The bolt then recoiled under the residual pressure in the barrel, like any other blowback action. However, because the bolt was initially locked in place, it could be made much lighter than the bolt in an ordinary blowback action, permitting a much higher rate of fire. The reduced weight also made the weapon more suitable for mounting in aircraft.
This novel action was initially rather buggy and required that the cartridges be waxed for clean extraction. The British eliminated the need for waxed cartridges, apparently by using a fluted chamber that allowed a small amount of gas from the fired round to work around the outside of the cartridge and push it away from the chamber walls. The British also found that the action was violent enough to compress the cartridge as it was fed into the chamber, leaving the primer far enough forward that the firing pin occasionally failed to activate the primer. This problem was solved by shortening the chamber length by about 2 mm (0.08"). Improvements were also made to the reliability of the magazine and feed mechanism.
The weapon was designed to be mounted in a hollow propeller shaft, which led to some peculiarities in design. It was extremely long and slim, and it did not come with a fixed receiver, being intended to be mounted directly to the V-block of an inline engine. This required a very sturdy structure when the gun was mounted in wings or turrets, which the British developed as the SAMM cradle. The weapon could not be synchronized to fire through a propeller.
The gun was heavy and was originally fed from a 60-round drum. Smaller drums were devised for flexible mountings, and a 160-round drum was designed for fixed guns, though this was unreliable if loaded with more than about 150 rounds. The somewhat low rate of fire was compensated by an unusually powerful cartridge.
The British initially produced the Type 404 as the Mark I. This proved unsatisfactory due to the small magazine capacity and a tendency for the gun to jam during high-G maneuvers. The Mark II was fed from a disintegrating link belt and was less prone to jam, and it saw extensive use. The Mark V was also belt-fed and had a shorter barrel that could be entirely contained in a fighter wing. This avoided the mechanical stress and freezing problems arising from the protruding barrel in Mark II installations, at some cost in muzzle velocity (about 80 fps or 24 m/s).
The British were anxious for American manufacturers to produce the weapon, which was expected to be in high demand. However, the Americans failed to adopt the British modifications, continuing to use waxed cartridges and failing to shorten the chamber to avoid misfires. It became evident that the AN-M1 had so high a misfire rate that it was unusable, but only after 56,410 had already been manufactured. The AN-M2 shortened the chamber by 1mm and made some other improvements for reliability, but American-manufactured Hispano-Suizas remained sufficiently unreliable that the gun came to be disliked by most American pilots. The gun averaged one jam every 1500 rounds under good operating conditions, but twice that rate under dusty conditions. The gun was more vulnerable than the Browning to cold temperatures at high altitude. Those installed on the SB2C were particularly notorious for jams, although the problems were largely worked out in the SB2C-4 and may have been due as much to poor maintenance as anything else in the earlier SB2Cs.
Part of the continuing difficulty with the weapon was bureaucratic in origin. Under U.S. Army regulations, a weapon of over 0.60" (15mm) bore was considered artillery, and so the Hispano-Suiza was manufactured to artillery tolerances. This made for badly fitting parts, a fault that was long concealed by the practice of putting a heavy coat of lubricant on the cartridges. Postwar, the weapon became highly reliable, suggesting that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the weapon. It was simply rushed into production before it had been completely debugged.
Some 134,663 AN-M1 and AN-M2 cannon were manufactured in the United States. Almost none of the M1 and only a fraction of the M2 produced were ever mounted in aircraft, and production ceased in February 1944. No use was ever found for the AN-M1s, but the Navy developed an improved lightweight version of the AN-M2, the T31, which like the British Mark V used a shortened barrel. The T31 could be converted from existing AN-M2 cannon, and some 32,346 were so modified by May 1945, when conversion ceased. New production of the T31 (not from conversion of the AN-M2) became the AN-M3, and this designation is used by most authors for conversions as well. Over 90% of 20mm cannon mounted in U.S. aircraft were mounted in U.S. Navy aircraft.

Il est intéressant de noter que les moteurs canon 12Y ont été conçu à l'origine pour permettre le montage du canon HS9 tirant au travers de l'axe de l'hélice. Les contraintes d'encombrement et de fixation du canon sur le moteur ont été respectées sur l'HS 404. Cela a permis de remplacer progressivement les HS 9 par des HS404 sur les moteurs en service sans qu'aucune modification ne soit à apporté ni au moteur ni au canon. A la fin de la Bataille de France le HS404 est réapparu en Angleterre sous la dénomination " Hispano MkI". Les Anglais l'on alors modifié pour améliorer sa fiabilité et permettre une alimentation par bande, augmentant ainsi la durée du tir (Hispano MkII). Par la suite il a encore été modifié pour diminuer la longueur du canon et remplacer la détente pneumatique par une détente électrique. Ainsi modifié le canon Hispano est devenu le canon de 20mm standard sur tous les chasseurs de la RAF (Hurricane, Spitfire, Tempest, Typhoon, Mosquito etc...).
Le canon Hispano Suiza type 404 est une arme à tir automatique à verrouillage mécanique de culasse. La masse reculante est constituée par l'ensemble de l'arme.
Au début du tir, dès que l'on agit sur la détente, la culasse mobile (297) avec son système de percussion (345) et de verrouillage (881) est lancée vers l'avant; au moment de la fermeture, le verrou (881) s'abaisse et libère des coulisses entraînant le percuteur (345) vers l'avant.
Pendant le trajet de l'obus (f) dans le tube (e), le recul de la masse reculante est freinée par un ressort qui assure également le retour en batterie de l'arme. Lorsque l'obus quitte l'arme, un frein de bouche de rendement élevé absorbe la plus grande partie de l'énergie cinétique de la masse reculante.
Un dispositif fonctionnant par emprunt de gaz libère le verrou. La pression résiduelle des gaz subsistant dans l'âme pendant la période de vidage lance vers l'arrière, avec une vitesse élevée, la douille de l'obus ainsi que la culasse mobile.
La réserve de munitions contenue dans le chargeur reste immobile pendant le tir.
INSTALLATION SUR LE VG33:
Le canon est installé dans le "V" formé par les cylindres du moteur. Cette installation permet de maintenir le canon à température moyenne en profitant de la tiédeur du moteur. Cela permet de limiter une partie des causes d'enrayement du canon. En effet la détente est alimenté pneumatiquement. En altitude l'air contenu dans les conduites peut ce condenser et geler en obstruant la canalisation. Ce problème a été rencontré pour les armes montées dans les ailes qui ne profitent pas d'un apport d'air chaud. L'autre avantage du montage du canon sur le moteur est l'absorption complète du recul de l'arme par la masse que constitue le moteur. Pour cela le canon est fixé en deux points, le premier à l'avant sur le réducteur et le second à l'arrière au sommet du compresseur. Hispano-Suiza HS 404

A folyó kialakulása a pliocén korban kezdődött el. A pliocén végén jutott el a Duna a Kisalföldig, ekkor a mai nyugat–kelet irány helyett észak–dél irányban folyt itt. Csak a pleisztocén korban alakult ki a kisalföldi szakasza. A folyó legfiatalabb része a Dobrudzsanyugati oldalán található dél–észak irányú folyása, amely pusztán a pleisztocén kor végén jött létre.
Napjainkban fontos nemzetközi hajóút. A németországi Rajna–Majna–Duna-csatorna 1992-es megépítése óta részét képezi annak a 3500 km-es transzeurópai vízi útnak, amely az Északi-tenger melletti Rotterdamtól a Fekete-tenger melletti Sulináig ér. A Dunán szállított áruk össztömege 1987-ben elérte a 100 millió tonnát.
A 20. században a folyam felső szakaszán vízlépcsők sorát építették ki, ami megváltoztatta a folyó természetes vízjárását és gyakorlatilag megszüntette a hordalék alpi utánpótlását. A rendszer utolsó tagja a Szlovákiában felépített bősi vízlépcső. A Dunakanyar fölötti szakasz vízszintje folyamatosan csökken, ennek következtében pusztulnak a part menti élőhelyek. kötődésem okán íródott. Már gyerekkoromban is nagyon érdekelt a hajózás ebből
adódóan sokat hajókáztam édesapámmal "Zoli-fater" a Dunán és a
Balatonon. Apai - Nagynéném férje néhai Miskolcról dolgozni bejáró Marek
Dezső nagybátyám mint volt MN Flottillás gépész tiz. - szkv. volt 1965
tájékán 2-3 évig szolgált. (nem Ő van a fényképen) majd MAHART
tengerjáró-hajógépész lett de egy idő után visszajött a folyókra. Később már
mint MAHART folyami főgépész jó párszor elvitt hajókázni a Dunán főleg a
gépházakban serénykedve 1968-'69 tájékán. A rokonságomból csak a két Fia maradt
akik szintén Miskolcon élnek. Az esztergomi BM repülőklubban is volt jó-pár
hajógépész repülőbarátom akik a Budapest XIII. kerület Jász-utcai "Lékai
János" Hajózási és Gépipari Szakközépiskolába jártak ahol később Én is
letettem a szakérettségi Műszer és Méréstechnika technikusit. És még volt egy
családi szlalom-kajakunk a Soroksári-Dunaágban amivel sokat tekertem. Ennek
okán és annak is, hogy 1995-ben Szentkirályszabadján lemaradtam a munka miatt a
Flottilla csapatlátogatásról. Így 2008-ban megkérvényeztem egy látogatást a
Fiammal, már csak az Oldalnézeti grafikai munkásságom okán is.

Hu. text: Sok embernek fogalma sincs arról, hogy még ma is léteznek magyar hadihajók. Közel sem olyan felszereltek mint fénykorukban és a létszámuk is csekély, de szükségességük megkérdőjelezhetetlen. A Honvéd Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Ezred Újpesti kikötőjében jártunk. Egy bekötőút vezet a a Honvédség Hadikikötőjébe, ami Újpesten található nem messze a Megyeri hídtól. A kötelező ellenőrzések után Szilágyi Zsolt alezredes úr fogadott, aki készségesen bemutatta nekünk a hadihajós flottillát, aminek a feladatai közé tartozik többek között a folyókban talált aknák kiemelése, hatástalanítása; a vízi útvonalakon keletkezett akadályok feloldása, és protokolláris feladatokat is ellátnak.A környező országok közül Magyarországon van az egyik legjelentősebb és legképzettebb hadihajós katonai alakulat, Ausztria nemrég szüntette meg folyami katonai jelenlétét, a hajóikat jelenleg hagyományőrző egyesületek gondozzák és karbantartásukat is azok végzik.
Bár sokan nem is gondolnák de nem is olyan régen még tengerészeti "nagyhatalomnak" számítottunk, jelentős gazdasági tevékenységet végeztek a magyar zászló alatt hajózó teherszállító hajók. Az első dunai tengerjáró hajót 1934 augusztusában avatták, Horthy Miklós kormányzó jelenlétében, aki maga is tengerésztiszt volt a század elején.
1. Története:
1848. július 25-én a Felelős Magyar Minisztérium határozata alapján az Országos Hadigőzös Mészáros vízre bocsátásával vette kezdetét az újkori magyar hadihajózás. Ezt követően napjainkig szervezett formában valósult meg a Duna hadihajós biztosítása.
Az 1867. évi kiegyezést követően létrehozták a Duna Flottillát. 1872-ben rendszerbe álltak a kor technikai színvonalának csúcsát képviselő MAROS és LEITHA monitorok. Az I. világháborút követően az egységet feloszlatták, hajóit lefoglalták, kiszolgáltatták, és szétosztották a Monarchia utódállamai között.
A magyar kormány 1921-ben felállította a Magyar Királyi Folyamőrséget, majd 1931-től Folyami Erők megnevezéssel önálló fegyvernemként létezett az alakulat, fő erejét az őrnaszád és folyamzár ezredek képezték. A II. világháború idején a szövetséges erők megkezdték tömeges a mágneses aknák telepítését. Erre válaszul 1943-ban rendszerbe állították az első aknászmotorosokat.
A háborút követően 1945. május 14-én felállításra került a Honvéd Hadihajós Osztályt. Az új szervezet fő feladata a Duna és Balaton aknamentesítése volt.
A feladatát kiválóan végrehajtó Hadihajós Osztályt 1950-ben ezreddé, 1951-ben dandárrá szervezték át, 1991-ig az Önálló Hadihajós Dandár nevet viselte. 1980-as évek eleji modernizálás során került rendszerbe 6 db AM jelű folyami aknamentesítő hajó.
Az alakulat megnevezése 1991-ben Honvéd Folyami Flottillára változott. A Flottillát 200l. június 30-ával az akkori haderő átalakítás során megszüntették. A megmaradt csökkentett létszámú hadihajós alosztályt- megtartva fő feladatait, hagyományait és a három megmaradt aknamentesítő hajót – egy egységbe vonták össze a tűzszerész zászlóaljjal, és 2001. július 1.-től megalakult a Magyar Honvédség Tűzszerész és Hadihajós Ezred.

A születő divat nyomására királyok, császárok, szultánok siettek Rivát vásárolni, csakúgy, mint a film- és sportvilág csillagai, akik Saint-Tropez és a világ számos híres kikötőit látogatták. Brigitte Bardot, Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Peter Sellers, Rainier monacói herceg, a perzsa sah, a jordán király, valamennyien úgy gondoltak a Rivára, amikor hajót akartak vásárolni, mint a Ferrarira vagy a Rolls Royce-ra új autó beszerzésekor. Hu. text: Szabó Gabriella (Budapest, 1986. augusztus 14. –) háromszoros olimpiai bajnok magyar kajakozó.2003-ban, a KSI versenyzőjeként bronzérmes volt az ifjúsági világbajnokságon. Marine radars are X band or S band radars to provide bearing and distance of ships and land targets in vicinity from own ship (radar scanner) for collision avoidance and navigation at sea.

Collision avoidance:
As required by COLREGS, all ships shall maintain a proper radar lookout if it is available on board to obtain early warning of risk of collision. Radar plotting or the ARPA should be used to get the information of movement and the risk of collision (bearing, distance, CPA (closest point of approach), TCPA (time of closest point of approach) of other ships in vicinity.
Navigation:
Marine radar systems can provide very useful radar navigation information for navigators onboard ships. The ship's position could be fixed by the bearing and distance information of a fixed, reliable target on the radar screen.

Seventy-five years after the end of World War II in Europe, photographs capture the devastation wrought on the Hungarian capital, Budapest, during one of Europe’s most overlooked battles.
Hungary was allied with Nazi Germany during World War II and tens of thousands of its soldiers fought alongside Nazi troops in Soviet territory, including during the battle for Stalingrad -- a major turning point in the war. For seven weeks at the end of 1944 and beginning of 1945, Soviet and Romanian troops encircled and then fought their way into Nazi-held Budapest, assisted by U.S. airpower.
As Stalin was demanding impossible speed from his generals, Hitler commanded his men to hold Budapest at all costs. Hungary held oil supplies that were vital to the Nazi war machine.
The attacking Soviet and Romanian troops outnumbered the fascist forces by about 4 to 1.

The Hispano-Suiza cannon was designed by Marc Birkigt, a Swiss working in France, and was adopted by Britain's Royal Air Force as the Hispano-Suiza Type 404. It later saw service with the Americans as the AN-M2. Both the British and the Americans considered adapting the Hispano-Suiza as an antiaircraft gun, but chose the 20mm Oerlikon instead.The Hispano-Suiza had a gas operated delayed blowback action. The bolt was locked to the breech until the projectile passed a gas port in the barrel, which operated a piston that unlocked the bolt. The bolt then recoiled under the residual pressure in the barrel, like any other blowback action. However, because the bolt was initially locked in place, it could be made much lighter than the bolt in an ordinary blowback action, permitting a much higher rate of fire. The reduced weight also made the weapon more suitable for mounting in aircraft.
This novel action was initially rather buggy and required that the cartridges be waxed for clean extraction. The British eliminated the need for waxed cartridges, apparently by using a fluted chamber that allowed a small amount of gas from the fired round to work around the outside of the cartridge and push it away from the chamber walls. The British also found that the action was violent enough to compress the cartridge as it was fed into the chamber, leaving the primer far enough forward that the firing pin occasionally failed to activate the primer. This problem was solved by shortening the chamber length by about 2 mm (0.08"). Improvements were also made to the reliability of the magazine and feed mechanism.
The weapon was designed to be mounted in a hollow propeller shaft, which led to some peculiarities in design. It was extremely long and slim, and it did not come with a fixed receiver, being intended to be mounted directly to the V-block of an inline engine. This required a very sturdy structure when the gun was mounted in wings or turrets, which the British developed as the SAMM cradle. The weapon could not be synchronized to fire through a propeller.
The gun was heavy and was originally fed from a 60-round drum. Smaller drums were devised for flexible mountings, and a 160-round drum was designed for fixed guns, though this was unreliable if loaded with more than about 150 rounds. The somewhat low rate of fire was compensated by an unusually powerful cartridge.
The British initially produced the Type 404 as the Mark I. This proved unsatisfactory due to the small magazine capacity and a tendency for the gun to jam during high-G maneuvers. The Mark II was fed from a disintegrating link belt and was less prone to jam, and it saw extensive use. The Mark V was also belt-fed and had a shorter barrel that could be entirely contained in a fighter wing. This avoided the mechanical stress and freezing problems arising from the protruding barrel in Mark II installations, at some cost in muzzle velocity (about 80 fps or 24 m/s).
The British were anxious for American manufacturers to produce the weapon, which was expected to be in high demand. However, the Americans failed to adopt the British modifications, continuing to use waxed cartridges and failing to shorten the chamber to avoid misfires. It became evident that the AN-M1 had so high a misfire rate that it was unusable, but only after 56,410 had already been manufactured. The AN-M2 shortened the chamber by 1mm and made some other improvements for reliability, but American-manufactured Hispano-Suizas remained sufficiently unreliable that the gun came to be disliked by most American pilots. The gun averaged one jam every 1500 rounds under good operating conditions, but twice that rate under dusty conditions. The gun was more vulnerable than the Browning to cold temperatures at high altitude. Those installed on the SB2C were particularly notorious for jams, although the problems were largely worked out in the SB2C-4 and may have been due as much to poor maintenance as anything else in the earlier SB2Cs.
Part of the continuing difficulty with the weapon was bureaucratic in origin. Under U.S. Army regulations, a weapon of over 0.60" (15mm) bore was considered artillery, and so the Hispano-Suiza was manufactured to artillery tolerances. This made for badly fitting parts, a fault that was long concealed by the practice of putting a heavy coat of lubricant on the cartridges. Postwar, the weapon became highly reliable, suggesting that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the weapon. It was simply rushed into production before it had been completely debugged.
Some 134,663 AN-M1 and AN-M2 cannon were manufactured in the United States. Almost none of the M1 and only a fraction of the M2 produced were ever mounted in aircraft, and production ceased in February 1944. No use was ever found for the AN-M1s, but the Navy developed an improved lightweight version of the AN-M2, the T31, which like the British Mark V used a shortened barrel. The T31 could be converted from existing AN-M2 cannon, and some 32,346 were so modified by May 1945, when conversion ceased. New production of the T31 (not from conversion of the AN-M2) became the AN-M3, and this designation is used by most authors for conversions as well. Over 90% of 20mm cannon mounted in U.S. aircraft were mounted in U.S. Navy aircraft.

HISPANO SUIZA TYPE 404
French text: HISTORIQUE:Le canon HS404 a été conçu pour palier au manque de performances du canon Hispano Suiza HS9 ( construction sous licence du Canon Oerlikon d'origine Suisse). Le HS404 est un nouveau modèle à part entière avec une meilleure cadence de tir et une plus grande vitesse initiale des obus, il est alimenté par un tambour de 60 obus. Il est intéressant de noter que les moteurs canon 12Y ont été conçu à l'origine pour permettre le montage du canon HS9 tirant au travers de l'axe de l'hélice. Les contraintes d'encombrement et de fixation du canon sur le moteur ont été respectées sur l'HS 404. Cela a permis de remplacer progressivement les HS 9 par des HS404 sur les moteurs en service sans qu'aucune modification ne soit à apporté ni au moteur ni au canon. A la fin de la Bataille de France le HS404 est réapparu en Angleterre sous la dénomination " Hispano MkI". Les Anglais l'on alors modifié pour améliorer sa fiabilité et permettre une alimentation par bande, augmentant ainsi la durée du tir (Hispano MkII). Par la suite il a encore été modifié pour diminuer la longueur du canon et remplacer la détente pneumatique par une détente électrique. Ainsi modifié le canon Hispano est devenu le canon de 20mm standard sur tous les chasseurs de la RAF (Hurricane, Spitfire, Tempest, Typhoon, Mosquito etc...).
Le canon Hispano Suiza type 404 est une arme à tir automatique à verrouillage mécanique de culasse. La masse reculante est constituée par l'ensemble de l'arme.
Au début du tir, dès que l'on agit sur la détente, la culasse mobile (297) avec son système de percussion (345) et de verrouillage (881) est lancée vers l'avant; au moment de la fermeture, le verrou (881) s'abaisse et libère des coulisses entraînant le percuteur (345) vers l'avant.
Pendant le trajet de l'obus (f) dans le tube (e), le recul de la masse reculante est freinée par un ressort qui assure également le retour en batterie de l'arme. Lorsque l'obus quitte l'arme, un frein de bouche de rendement élevé absorbe la plus grande partie de l'énergie cinétique de la masse reculante.
Un dispositif fonctionnant par emprunt de gaz libère le verrou. La pression résiduelle des gaz subsistant dans l'âme pendant la période de vidage lance vers l'arrière, avec une vitesse élevée, la douille de l'obus ainsi que la culasse mobile.
La réserve de munitions contenue dans le chargeur reste immobile pendant le tir.
INSTALLATION SUR LE VG33:
Le canon est installé dans le "V" formé par les cylindres du moteur. Cette installation permet de maintenir le canon à température moyenne en profitant de la tiédeur du moteur. Cela permet de limiter une partie des causes d'enrayement du canon. En effet la détente est alimenté pneumatiquement. En altitude l'air contenu dans les conduites peut ce condenser et geler en obstruant la canalisation. Ce problème a été rencontré pour les armes montées dans les ailes qui ne profitent pas d'un apport d'air chaud. L'autre avantage du montage du canon sur le moteur est l'absorption complète du recul de l'arme par la masse que constitue le moteur. Pour cela le canon est fixé en deux points, le premier à l'avant sur le réducteur et le second à l'arrière au sommet du compresseur. Hispano-Suiza HS 404

Hu. text: A magyar néprajzi irodalom szerint a halászlé azonos a hosszú lére eresztett halpaprikással. 1871-ben jelent meg Szegeden Rézi néni szakácskönyve, amelyben megtalálhatjuk a "Halpaprikás halászosan" nevű étel elkészítési módját. A „halászos mód” lényege az, hogy minden hozzávalót egyszerre tesznek bele a bográcsba. A valódi népi halászlének a sok és jóféle hal (főleg a ponty), a sajátos elkészítési mód, a szolgafa és bogrács, a megfelelő és egyéb fűszerek mellett fontos és elmaradhatatlan kelléke a paprika, azaz a "törökbors", és a vöröshagyma. Hu. text: A Duna a második leghosszabb folyam Európában (a Volga után). Németországban, a Fekete-erdőben ered két kis patakocska, a Breg és a Brigach összefolyásával Donaueschingennél, és innen délkeleti irányban 2850 kilométert tesz meg a Fekete-tengerig. Magyarország egész területe e folyam vízgyűjtőjén terül el, itteni főágának hossza 417 km, ezért az ország vízrajzának meghatározó alkotóeleme.A folyó kialakulása a pliocén korban kezdődött el. A pliocén végén jutott el a Duna a Kisalföldig, ekkor a mai nyugat–kelet irány helyett észak–dél irányban folyt itt. Csak a pleisztocén korban alakult ki a kisalföldi szakasza. A folyó legfiatalabb része a Dobrudzsanyugati oldalán található dél–észak irányú folyása, amely pusztán a pleisztocén kor végén jött létre.
Napjainkban fontos nemzetközi hajóút. A németországi Rajna–Majna–Duna-csatorna 1992-es megépítése óta részét képezi annak a 3500 km-es transzeurópai vízi útnak, amely az Északi-tenger melletti Rotterdamtól a Fekete-tenger melletti Sulináig ér. A Dunán szállított áruk össztömege 1987-ben elérte a 100 millió tonnát.
A 20. században a folyam felső szakaszán vízlépcsők sorát építették ki, ami megváltoztatta a folyó természetes vízjárását és gyakorlatilag megszüntette a hordalék alpi utánpótlását. A rendszer utolsó tagja a Szlovákiában felépített bősi vízlépcső. A Dunakanyar fölötti szakasz vízszintje folyamatosan csökken, ennek következtében pusztulnak a part menti élőhelyek. A legnagyobb veszély a Duna–Ipoly Nemzeti Park ártéri keményfaligeteit fenyegeti.
A Duna a világ „legnemzetközibb” folyója; 10 országon halad át, vízgyűjtő területe pedig 7 további országot érint. Több jelentős település is emelkedik a partjain, köztük négy jelenlegi főváros: Bécs, Pozsony, Budapest és Belgrád.
